Why Marston’s?

When you enter a Marston’s pub, you just get that feeling. It’s hard to place, but it’s a one-off magic.

All the support and expertise you need.

01 – Partner with the best

We’ve been crowned the top pub company for pub partners to work with, by the Pubs Code Adjudicator Survey 2023! Our pub partners are the most satisfied with our relationship, out of all the pub companies. By partnering with us, you know you’re joining the industry leaders.

02 – By your side, behind the bar

Our different partnerships exist to share the risk and manage some of the biggest costs involved in running a pub, like utilities. This frees you up to focus on making the pub a success. We won’t expect you to have all the answers though, that’s why each partner has a dedicated Area Manager to guide them through the day-to-day. Our partners don’t do it alone. They have over 400 of our Pub Support Centre experts by their side behind the scenes too, including Marketing, Finance and Estates amongst many others.

03 – We give our partners a voice

Our ‘Your Voice’ online engagement survey is a chance for pub partners to share their views and help shape their experience with Marston’s. Pub partners' anonymity is always protected. The survey covers questions on a variety of topics, including partnerships, reward, recognition and professional growth.

04 – Award-winning training

We provide industry-leading learning and development tools to help our pub partners succeed, including our bespoke platform Campus. Here they get access to British Institute of Innkeeping accredited training, HR tools and resources, free of charge and available to use whenever it suits them best.

05 – Pubs to be proud of

We have an impressive portfolio of around 1400 pubs across the UK - spanning from your community local, or quaint country pubs, to city centre bars. What they all have in common is that they’re all guest-obsessed, full of energy, and truly dedicated to making their pubs the beating heart of the community. Getting it right is about knowing and responding to what the community wants, and then bringing that to life.

06 – The community hub

Our community connection goes beyond our four walls, and we’re proud to show this by partnering with local and national charities. From food banks to sensory gardens, we give back to those who need it most, up and down the country. We also have our own Charitable Foundation, which supports fundraising in our pubs and pub support centre.

07 – Environmentally responsible

We’re committed to being a responsible and sustainable business by adopting a People and Planet positive approach for all our people, suppliers, pub partners, guests and the communities we serve. The main way in which we do this is through our ‘Doing more to be proud of’ initiative which focuses on four core pillars: Planet, People, Product & Policy.

Each of the four pillars connect to the core of what we do in our business, and where we believe we can make the biggest impact. This includes increasing the number of electric car chargers at our pubs & inns, achieving zero waste to landfill and using 100% recycled garden furniture.
