How to apply

Our 6-stage application process is designed to introduce you to our company, purpose and values.

01. Speak to a member of our team

Once you’ve explored our agreements and opportunities, you can make an informal enquiry or submit an application. A member of the recruitment team will give you a call to get to know you better – we can even help you to obtain your Personal Licence.

02. Meet one of our area managers

Our first meeting is to discuss your application, understand your previous experience and your ambitions for running a pub. We will tell you more about the pub and how the agreement works to support an informed decision on making the next steps.

03. Providing you with information

In accordance with the Pubs Code we will provide you with a property pack, including the financial trading history of the pub and a schedule of any works we may be conducting. This can be used to seek independent financial, legal and property advice. Further information about the Pubs Code and support available can be found at www.bii.org.

04. Present your business plan

You will present your business plan to our operations team. This will include your ideas around your target market, your team and your financial projections. This plan will form your conditional offer, which will be signed off by your Area Manager, Operations Manager and our Estate Manager.

05. Offer and arrangements for taking on your pub business!

If successful, subject to a conditional offer, we will book your induction and discuss the date you will take over at your new business, as well as the next steps in completing the legal paperwork to secure a full agreement.
